ITAC8 – SUNDAY

EN: Art as a catalyst for civic engagement and societal change. Engaging with themes such as conflict, identity, social justice, and sustainability, Teaching Artists explore how creative processes foster dialogue, active participation, and strengthen community connections. The day will culminate in an inspiring panel discussion and a closing ceremony, bringing the energy and insights of the conference to a powerful close. 

ITAC8, the eighth biennial conference for Teaching Artists, will take place from 28 to 30 August in Antwerp and is part of the larger event Louder Together, a unique opportunity to combine performing arts for children and young people with the practice of Teaching Artistry.

ITAC8 focuses on art and culture, education, youth, care and solidarity. Our goal is to inspire the international network of Teaching Artists, not only through lectures, debates and discussions, but also through participatory workshops and performances.

NL: Kunst als katalysator voor maatschappelijke betrokkenheid en verandering. Rond thema’s als conflict, identiteit, sociale rechtvaardigheid en duurzaamheid onderzoeken Teaching Artists hoe creatieve processen bijdragen aan dialoog, actieve betrokkenheid en het versterken van onderlinge verbondenheid in gemeenschappen. We sluiten de dag af met een inspirerend panelgesprek en een afsluitende ceremonie, die de energie en inzichten van de conferentie krachtig samenbrengt.

ITAC8, de achtste tweejaarlijkse conferentie voor Teaching Artists, vindt plaats van 28 tot 30 augustus in Antwerpen en maakt deel uit van het grotere evenement Louder Together, een unieke kans om podiumkunsten voor kinderen en jongeren te combineren met de praktijk van Teaching Artistry.

ITAC8 focust op kunst, cultuur, educatie, jongeren, zorg en solidariteit. Ons doel is om het internationaal netwerk van Teaching Artists te inspireren, niet enkel door lezingen, debatten en gesprekken, maar ook door participatieve workshops en optredens.
